Binary Canary is a collaborative improvisation ensemble of electronicist Ted Moore and saxophonist Kyle Hutchins. Their work together since 2013 includes a wide range of free and structured music with interactive multimedia. They have released three studio albums and three live/compilation albums on Carrier, Noise Pelican, and Avid Sound Records. Binary Canary has been featured on series and festivals throughout the United States, Europe, and South America at Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt (IMD), International Computer Music Conference (ICMC), Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS), New York City Electronic Music Festival (NYCEMF), World Saxophone Congress, NUNC!, SPLICE Festival, SKRONK, Frequency Series, MOXsonic, CubeFest, Electroacoustic Barndance (EABD), North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA), Music Now at the University of North Texas, New Horizons Music Festival (NHMF), Association for Technology in Music Instruction (ATMI), Ars Electroacoustica, The New Ruckus, Patrick’s Cabaret, Punk-Ass Classical, Skewed Visions, and as guest artists at universities across the country.
